India · A private route through sacred cities

The journey’s concept

Two different Indias within one concept: North Indian cities and Tamil Nadu's temple culture. First Agra, Vrindavan and Barsana; then Arunachala, Chidambaram and Pondicherry's coast.

A private itinerary built around group interests. Choose the north or south alone, add architectural visits and encounters, or connect both sections with a domestic flight. A specific author or facilitator's participation is agreed separately.

THREE REASONS TO CHOOSE THIS ROUTE

What makes this journey special

01

North and South

Compare architectural and religious traditions while keeping time for travel and exploring each place.

02

A private format

Group size, depth of temple exploration and accommodation standard are determined before costing.

03

A programme with choices

Visits and practices are selected for participants; religious experience is never imposed.

PLACES AND EXPERIENCES

Proposed itinerary

The stages below outline a possible route rather than a confirmed departure schedule. Duration, transfers and visits are adapted to the chosen period and the group’s interests.

Welcome, check-in and an introduction to the capital according to arrival time.

The Taj Mahal and Agra's architectural heritage; visiting hours and scope are confirmed during preparation.

Temple quarters and Krishna culture. We choose the intensity of the pilgrimage programme together with the group.

Airport transfer and domestic flight. A separate day for the regional transition avoids an excessively dense schedule.

Tiruvannamalai, its temple complex and Ramana Maharshi's ashram; walks and mountain circumambulation suit participants' abilities.

Nataraja Temple and its living religious tradition, subject to visitor access.

The seafront, Sri Aurobindo's legacy and Auroville's visitor programme. Special visits are booked separately.

Agreed transfer and departure from Chennai; an ocean extension can be a separate section.

Practical notes and preparation

  • Connecting the two regions involves a domestic flight, whose conditions are listed separately in the quotation.
  • The northern or southern section can be booked on its own.
  • Facilitators, private meetings and special visits are not confirmed by this description alone.
  • Pace, hotels, transport and meals are chosen on request.

Before you enquire

Yes, you can enquire about joining. Our team will check for a suitable group and confirmed arrangements. An enquiry alone does not reserve a place.

Yes. For your own group, we can discuss another period, duration and selection of visits. Feasibility depends on the season, logistics and local providers’ rules.

Guides, programme authors, private meetings and special visits are confirmed in the individual offer. A programme’s historic name or theme does not guarantee a particular person’s participation.
